Good Morning Folks,
In this post we are assisting new folks with understanding how to use the IMS Daily Rainfall Report which is found under their heading of Measurements. Do not confuse it with their file on daily and accumulated info with the map.
I have circled 3 items in the column which is most important to us in the data they provide.
#1: % of same period average. This tells us based on the Gregorian Calendar date whether the early rains are in effect. The early rains are the winter rains in Israel as that is the primary definition of winter in the Land. That changes from year to year at times because some are going to be normal 12 lunar month years and others will be 13 month intercalated years. Our Elohim determine that for us by the meteorological conditions they put in place.
#2: This is the actual total of rain that has fallen to date measured against the average of that reporting station over the many years it has been operating. In this case we see it is above average to date. That can be a good thing but only if we know whether it all came in one downpour or spread out over a longer period. We want to be sure it has been useful for growing grain. What I do is pick a bunch of reporting stations located in areas we know produce barley and wheat. Only about 40% of these stations do that.
#3: This is one of the locations I use. There are 2 methods of reporting from this one location relative to each other. Here it states the precipitation so far this growing cycle is at 85% of the average. In this instance that is very good for the grains received the majority of that rain in the past two weeks from several nice steady rains. You have seen pictures we have posted of the effects of it with grain already germinated and growing.
We will continue to monitor the rain throughout this growing cycle in this location to see if it keeps pace with what is required for a good steady growth of the plants. We do so by using this IMS file and getting pictures via the internet of this general location. It is not a difficult process to undertake, but it requires some focus and time spent at it. If you are not opposed to using some of your time during your Sabbath rest that can be a good way of growing in favor, acceptance, and knowledge of our Lord. It is a good undertaking in following the Lamb wherever He goes.
Bridget posts the rain totals twice monthly so if you go to the areas she has highlighted on her map you will have a shortcut to selecting some areas to follow for they are located in grain growing regions.
If you have any questions on how to do a specific thing or two just email us with the question and we will get back to you with an answer. Keep in mind it needs to be an email and not through Facebook as a request to post, for we do not open them unless it has a preview with it.
Once again, this is a simple process anyone can do so do not be intimidated by it. Just start practicing and developing your own method. If you hit a roadblock let us know and we will help clear it up for you personally.
Our peace we give to you.
