Happy Sabbath Folks,
With the onset of some early rains in September the agricultural community in Israel decided to get the ground worked for winter rain plantings. This has been going on for several weeks now in all the grain growing regions.
Lots of winter vegetable seedlings going in. You can see the one photo setting the soils up for that with finely turned and prepped ground. Some of you may have seen some of the planting videos already available on the internet.
Notice the locations which have been plowed but not disced yet. They are waiting for the next rains to sink in and then will disc and plant seed. That insures moisture below the planting surface. One of the patterns and little tricks in Middle East agriculture.
Lots of anticipation for substantive October rains.
We will keep you posted.
