Hi Folks and Happy Sabbath to All!

Its time to travel down memory lane today. That is always very instructional for some, but a source of consternation anger for others because we keep accurate records.

It is spurred by the question why we are in the 13th month and not the 12th month as being kept by others?

The answer is simple but lets spend some time on it.

As many of you know we started this Biblical Year back on March 12, 2024. The simple arithmetic puts us into the 13th lunar month since then.

At that time there was some controversy as to why, because I had not bothered to travel to the Land to inspect for myself. The truth is Linda and I did try but on two separate occasions and by two separate airlines our flights were cancelled. That was not a tragedy to us for we had already proven to ourselves that the witnesses were in place and the barley would be aviv prior to the Passover in that sequence which if I remember was on the 25th of March.

Life went on but a friend contacted me and wanted me to spend a couple of days inspecting together. Thus I ended up going without Linda due to other family plans and was there for 2 days inspecting. Those are brutal trips. No sleep coming or going and little while there. Some of you guys have tasted them in the past.

Now what do you think I found when I arrived?

Yes absolutely, many of our locations were aviv on March 18 and 19. But we already knew that would be the case as many of you did because you undertook your due diligence from afar and applied the Biblical Witnesses and then Zadoks growth scale to the existing stage of growth of the barley at the start of that new moon on the 12th.

So here are a few pictures of mature fields from that trip. Both domestic and wild barley, and wheat with representative samples. And even some wild oats. Thus no problem with a wavesheaf prior to March 24th at sunset.

Every single one of the 10 Biblical Witnesses given to us in scripture to confirm the Month of Abib had been in place.

Some want to know why we did not consider the March 1st new moon this year. We did for arguments sake to appease a few others. Not a single one of the witnesses were in place at that time. Not one of them. This is not a game of who's right, but whats right.

Another question was why didn't you keep an additional month like so many to start this year back then?

Because I follow a Christ/Messiah based Biblical Calendar. He is the Firstborn and the First of the Firstfruit of the Household of the Elohim. If others choose to follow a different way that is not something I would step in the way of. Just don't ask me for a reason for the hope which is in me because it may make you angry if you are of a different persuasion.

Just for fun, now let's look at what these same areas look like today March 15, in the Land just 3 days before the pictures I took last year in the Land. Ask yourself the simple question: do they look like the timing of Passover and UB that some are keeping as I write this?
