Some of you guys are really getting good at analyzing photos. This one from earlier today is a good example. Yes that is domestic grain growing on the right which we do not know yet whether it is barley or wheat, but that is irrelevant for the timing in the Abib Calendar Growing Cycle due to the fact it takes the same amount of days for both to attain physiological maturity or as we call that state: aviv.
And yes, on the left we have wild oats and barley growing. We are familiar with this location and many of you have seen it over the years. The more advanced green on the left is wild oats at this time. It runs about 2-3 weeks ahead of the wild barley here, just as it does in all the early germinating locations we follow.
That does not apply to the later germinating locations as it turns into a horse race between them due to a number of factors we have discussed over the years. Some the wild barley will win and some the wild oats will win. But for this location here, the wild oats is always the winner thus when it reaches physiological maturity (able to reproduce itself through its seeds) we know we have 2-3 weeks for the wild and domestic barley to do like wise.
