We thought you would appreciate seeing the first small groups of pelicans starting their return migration from Europe through the Promised Land.
Once again, right on time, with the grape harvest underway. Over the next 3 weeks these huge birds will increase in numbers along the route and then decrease, being overtaken by lesser Common storks, and then by Great White storks heading south.
Wonderful patterns in creation for us to acknowledge and to understand.
Remember, the great bird migrations are tied to the increasing and decreasing amount of sunlight triggering a chemical reaction in their brains which dictates their instinct pattern to migrate twice a year.
Meteorological conditions dictate the speed of that migration through specific corridors along the journey.
